TED-Ed | What Is Narcissism

By March 4, 2016 July 15th, 2019 No Comments

An animated lesson from TED-Ed on the psychology behind the elevated and sometimes detrimental self-involvement of narcissists.

Self-esteem is important, but compassion is too. How do you know when your self-involvement might be symptomatic of an unhealthy personality disorder? In this video we animated for TED-ED, psychologist and author W. Keith Campbell explains the traits of narcissists.

Campbell was also interviewed about the book he co-authored with Jean M. Twenge, The Narcissism Epidemic, on The Agenda with Steve Paiken.

If you want to know more about the TED-Ed project check out their site here. There are lots of fantastic lessons on their YouTube channel, too.
