Founded in the spirit of independent and collaborative creation, TOGETHER: Words+Pictures for Art & Culture develops and produces animated content for the arts, cultural, and non-profit communities.

We are happy writing, designing, and animating content for documentaries and films, theatrical stage visuals, art exhibit promos, and book trailers.

Pazit Cahlon

Pazit Cahlon is a writer, co-director, and supervisor based in Toronto. Short films she’s written for Together’s “Beastly Bards” have aired at TIFF, Berlinale, the Ottawa International Animation Festival, and TAAFI. The third film, “The Ballad of Immortal Joe” won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Animated Short in 2016. Her roles have ranged from puppet-building to screenwriting and various production positions on shows like JoJo’s Circus (Cuppa Coffee/ABC Family), Panda Bear Daycare (Radical Sheep/YTV-Treehouse), and Blynk and Aazoo (Little Scooter Media/TVO).

Hector Herrera

Hector Herrera is a founding partner in TOGETHER: Words+Pictures, a Toronto-based animation studio focusing on developing and producing animated content for the arts, cultural and non-profit communities, as well as their own original films.
With over 15 years of experience in broadcast design, Hector has created work for a diverse range of clients that include Cartoon Network, SpikeTV, BBC, CTV and David Cronenberg.
He has co-directed and co-written animated shorts for TED-Ed, The Royal Society of Art and the WWF. His 3-film animated rhyme cycle 'Beastly Bards' (co-written with Pazit Cahlon) screened at various festivals. The last film in the cycle 'The Ballad Of Immortal Joe' screened at TIFF, the Ottawa International Animation Festival, and the Berlinale. It won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Animated Short in 2016.

Nick Sewell

Working in broadcast design since 1999, Nick has created work for a diverse range of clients including MTV, Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, Warner Bros., Sports Center, and PBS.
His film work includes title design for David Cronenberg’s Spider, Irvine Welsh’s Ecstasy, William Shatner’s The Captains, Fight Like Soliders, Die Like Children and Sugar Coated.
Nick's design work has appeared in numerous graphics and post-production publications such as Stash, Design In Motion, and Applied Arts Annual as well as media outlets such as Rolling Stone and NME. His animation and editing work has also earned acclaim internationally, including over 16 Broadcast Design Awards.
