The Demon of Reason’s Logical Fallacies is a 6 part-animated series discussing some of the most common logical fallacies.
The Demon of Reason loves to people-watch across the millennia but just can’t keep himself from popping into historical moments now and then in an earnest effort to teach people about the logical fallacies they harbour.
In 2019, we attended the TED Summit in Edinburgh where we presented a proposal for an animated series on logical fallacies to our friends at TED-Ed, something we and the TED-Ed team had also been thinking of. Logical fallacies are errors in reasoning which result in faulty arguments and muddy the waters of open debate. Our conversation continued through 2019 as we co-developed the series, and we produced and launched it in 2020 as ‘TED-Ed Logical Fallacies’.
As key co-developers of this series, we had lots of fun working in partnership with the TED-Ed team on every aspect of the production. From the scripts to the character development and design. This has been the biggest collaboration with the TED-Ed team to date.
You can check out one of our favourite episodes above, and the entire series over at TED-Ed’s Demon of Reason YouTube playlist.
